The following companies
capitalised on the Enterprise Exchange to launch new products:
(i) Fast & Safe
§
Launched a new encryption
key called the EasySafe, which utilises their proprietary encryption IC
technology. This device has a USB interface that plugs in conveniently into any
PC, providing a very high level of data protection.
(ii) GT&T Engineering
§
Launched a new device called
the G-Logger, that allows an individual to be tracked using GPS and the
location information will be sent via GPRS/GSM to a control centre. This device
is targeted for personal safety or security applications.
(iii) D’Crypt/Nouvo Wave
§
Jointly developed and
launched two new high security card-neutral readers called the TigerShark and
SwordFish, which utilises their proprietary cryptographic core and integrates
interfaces to various contactless cards.
Applications can be found in multi-payment terminals, ATMs, vending
machines, and terminals for secure contactless payment or merchant loyalty
programs.
(iv) Mikoishi
§
Launched a new mobile game
called Pet Trap which could be played by one or more people on various mobile
devices over the GPRS/GSM system. This allows people to log into a server and
seek on-line challengers from anywhere in the world.

The Guest of Honour, Dr Ng Eng Hen,
stopped over at the NYP pavilion and officially launched the four new products
developed. It was a significant moment indeed!
The technopreneurs/start-ups who participated
benefited through new leads for potential project collaborations and funding.
They have given very positive feedback and were appreciative of the support and
opportunity for exposure provided by NYP through the Enterprise Exchange.
Feedback from some of the technopreneurs/start-ups are
captured as follows:
Trilobyte Tech:
Mr BC Khou (CEO) was very pleased with the attention drawn by his
company’s innovative fingerprint recognition device. EDB brought several
contacts to his booth and introduced them to him. These will be good leads for
possible business collaboration.
Fast & Safe:
The company’s EasySafe PC security device drew many
enquiries. Mr Desmond Hsu (GM) was excited to make a number of sales on the
spot, a number of which were bought by potential customers who want to evaluate
the product which may lead to potentially large orders.
GT&T Engineering:
The company’s G-Logger, which was launched by the Minister, caught the
interest of TODAY newspaper and Mr James Chua (Regional Sales Manager) was
interviewed at his booth by a reporter during the exhibition. Mr Chua was also
approached by venture capitalists and he will be exploring further with them.
D’Crypt/Nuovowave:
Mr Alexander Osawa (MD) has written in to express his
heartfelt congratulations and appreciation. He noted that, “It was a good experience and exposure
for us and we’ve even had a few good leads for possible business
collaboration!”
Mikoishi:
Ms Veronica Yeo (Sales & Marketing) was excited to
meet visitors from New Zealand who would like to explore business
collaboration. She was also approached by a media company who would like to
work with her to publicise the new products from Mikoishi.
All in all, it was a great success! Thank you to all
who participated and supported in one way or other!
